Each car owner is faced with the problem of glass scratching, visibility in cars is deteriorating, there is a constant load on the eyes, especially when driving at night. When light from oncoming headlights hits, a lot of glare often occurs, due to which visibility deteriorates, and sometimes it is practically absent. The solution to this problem is glass polishing.

When polishing glass, we use only high-quality and proven materials from leading American and European manufacturers.

Glass polishing, stages of work:

  1. Analysis of the degree of glass damage, selection of abrasive materials (pastes and wheels) necessary for each specific case.
  2. Glass polishing machine. At this stage, the master carefully polishes deeply damaged areas. The quality of glass polishing at this stage depends on several factors, such as the speed of rotation of the polishing wheel, the degree of glass heating. The work must be carried out by an experienced craftsman in order to prevent overheating of the glass and, as a result, its damage.
  3. Polishing with a soft circle. After the deep scratches have been removed by the craftsman, a polishing step follows with fine-grained pastes and softer wheels to give the glass shine and gloss, as well as to eliminate glass stains from a more abrasive wheel.

Why is the transparency of the windshield lost?

The reasons for the deterioration of glass transparency can be different.

Low quality glass (poor quality control in glass manufacturing)

Scratches from wipers (even high-quality original glass tends to rub over with wipers over time)

Scratches from a scraper (when removing ice in the winter season)

Cracks and chips from gravel when driving on the road (if there are chips and cracks, we have a windshield repair service)

Clouding of glass due to exposure to aggressive chemicals (resin, reagents, plaque)

A few helpful tips from a glass polisher:

Keep an eye on the condition of the wiper blades, for good they need to be changed once a year.

Periodically clean the side window seals. Over time, sand is packed into the seals, which begins to scratch the glass when they are raised and lowered.

Treat glass with special hydrophobic compounds (anti-rain, ceramics), this allows the glass to stay clean longer, and also creates a protective microfilm on the glass.

Reservation of glasses from the outside is an excellent technology for protecting the windshield from chips and scratches. The film, when hit by gravel, takes a hit on itself, thereby protecting the windshield. Windshield protection film is a service that is present in our center.
